****** CONSTITUTION ******* EFFECTIVE AS OF September 17, 2005 ARTICLE I --- NAME The organization shall be known as the Sacramento Valley Angling & Camping Club of the Deaf. ARTICLE II --- OBJECT The object of this organization shall be to provided camping events and hold fishing tournaments (any type of fish) among deaf, hard of hearing and hearing individuals. ARTICLE III --- MEMBERSHIP Section 1 - Membership in this organization shall be open to any deaf, hard of hearing and hearing. Section 2 - A hearing person with the ability of sign language who is a member of this organization shall be eligible to take part to discussions. Section 3 - A member of this organization must be 18 years of age and over to be eligible for membership. Section 4 - A hearing member with ability of sign language may run for Fund-raiser, Chairperson, Committee, Board of Director and/or Trustee. ARTICLE IV --- OFFICERS Section 1 -The deaf or hard of hearing officers of this organization shall consist of a President, Vice President, a Secretary, a Treasurer, and two or three Trustees. The election of officers shall be voted by ballot every two years in the month of September. Section 2 - The elected officers shall pledged to this organization oath and shall remain in office during two-year term with such powers and duties as provided in the Constitutions and By-Laws. Section 3 - Officers and Board of Directors are allowed to be elected no matter how far where they live. Section 4 - No officers are allowed to run for 2 clubs or more in local or out of town. Section 5 - Any officer that is absent from any meeting 3 times in one-year term in a row shall be suspended for one year. ARTICLE V --- BOARD OF DIRECTORS Section 1 - The elected officers shall be acting as Board of Directors, to plan events (chairperson), make the suggestions (Board), to approve the expenditures (Board), to approve the flyers designed by the committees (president), to print and mail out to members and subscribers (secretary) and to solve extreme cases prior to regular meeting. When extreme urgent arise, President shall request special Board of Directors meeting at any time. Board of Directors shall vote all the motives and bring to motions at regular meeting for members to vote on. ARTICLE VI --- MEETING Section 1 - Regular meeting of this organization shall be held three times each year in the month of January, April, and September. President may call for fourth meeting when necessary. Section 2 - The Board of Directors shall have the meeting one-day before regular meeting. Section 3 - The business at the meeting shall be taken up in following order: A - Roll Call B - Pledge to flag C - President’s Report D - Vice President’s Report E - Secretary’s Report F - Treasurer’s Report G - By Law’s Report H - Webmaster’s Report I - Committee’s Report J - Unfinished business K - New Business L - Announcement M - Adjournment Section 4 - Any non-member who attends meetings up to three (3) times shall be escorted out. Or they can pay the full years dues on the spot. . ARTICLE VII --- QUORUM Section 1 - (20) members including the officers of the organization shall meet a quorum for the election of officers and vote on the motions of new business at the regular meeting. Section 2 - If a quorum is not secured; the president may decide the date of next meeting to be announced. |
